These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one aryl group, and a phenyl group. 4-[2-(4-hydroxybenzoyl)-3h-imidazol-4-yl]phenol is found in Botrylloides leachii. 4-[2-(4-Hydroxybenzoyl)-1H-imidazol-5-yl]phenol is a strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
