Description(1S,2S,9R,10R,11R,14R,15S)-9-hydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-14-[(2S,3R,5R)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-5,6-dimethylheptan-2-yl]tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadeca-3,6-dien-5-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tetrahydroxy bile acids, alcohols and derivatives. These are prenol lipids structurally characterized by a bile acid or alcohol which bears four hydroxyl groups. (1r,3ar,3br,4r,9as,9bs,11as)-4-hydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-[(2s,3r,5r)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-5,6-dimethylheptan-2-yl]-1h,2h,3h,3ah,3bh,4h,5h,9bh,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthren-7-one is found in Petunia hybrida. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,9R,10R,11R,14R,15S)-9-hydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-14-[(2S,3R,5R)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-5,6-dimethylheptan-2-yl]tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadeca-3,6-dien-5-one.
