Description1-[(1R,5S,6S,14S)-1,2,9,14,18,18-hexamethylpentacyclo[11.8.0.0²,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁹]Henicosan-6-yl]ethan-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 20-oxosteroids. These are steroid derivatives carrying a C=O group at the 20-position of the steroid skeleton. 1-[(3s,3as,5br,11as)-5a,5b,8,8,11a,13b-hexamethyl-hexadecahydrocyclopenta[a]chrysen-3-yl]ethanone is found in Adiantum abscissum, Adiantum capillus-veneris, Adiantum caudatum, Adiantum raddianum, Adiantum edgeworthii, Adiantum pedatum, Aleuritopteris kuhnii, Cyathea lepifera, Fossombronia alaskana and Plagiochasma rupestre. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 1-[(1R,5S,6S,14S)-1,2,9,14,18,18-hexamethylpentacyclo[11.8.0.0²,¹⁰.0⁵,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁹]Henicosan-6-yl]ethan-1-one.
