| Description | Hyperpapuanone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as bicyclic monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids containing exactly 2 rings, which are fused to each other. (1r,5s,7r)-4-hydroxy-5,8,8-trimethyl-1,7-bis(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-3-(2-methylpropanoyl)bicyclo[3.3.1]non-3-ene-2,9-dione is found in Hypericum papuanum. (1r,5s,7r)-4-hydroxy-5,8,8-trimethyl-1,7-bis(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)-3-(2-methylpropanoyl)bicyclo[3.3.1]non-3-ene-2,9-dione was first documented in 2011 (PMID: 22109273). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Hyperpapuanone. |
