These are amino acids in which the amino group is attached to the carbon atom immediately adjacent to the carboxylate group (alpha carbon), or a derivative thereof. 5,15-dihydroxy-1-(methylsulfanyl)-3,13-diazapentacyclo[11.7.0.0³,¹¹.0⁴,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁹]icosane-2,8,12,18-tetrone is found in Penicillium brocae. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,15-dihydroxy-1-(methylsulfanyl)-3,13-diazapentacyclo[11.7.0.0³,¹¹.0⁴,⁹.0¹⁴,¹⁹]Icosane-2,8,12,18-tetrone.
