DescriptionBACCHOTRICUNEATIN A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthopyrans. Naphthopyrans are compounds containing a pyran ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 6 membered-ring non-aromatic ring with five carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1s,4r,7r,9r,10r)-7-(furan-3-yl)-9-methyl-6,16-dioxatetracyclo[8.7.0.0¹,¹⁴.0⁴,⁹]heptadec-13-ene-5,15-dione is found in Baccharis incarum, Baccharis neaei, Baccharis polifolia, Baccharis salicifolia, Baccharis spicata, Laennecia coulteri and Liatris spicata. (1s,4r,7r,9r,10r)-7-(furan-3-yl)-9-methyl-6,16-dioxatetracyclo[8.7.0.0¹,¹⁴.0⁴,⁹]heptadec-13-ene-5,15-dione was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 16402545). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on BACCHOTRICUNEATIN A (PMID: 23906773) (PMID: 20422996).
