These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. 3-(acetyloxy)-6-{[3,5-bis(acetyloxy)-2-[(6-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxochromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methoxy]-6-methyloxan-4-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-4-yl acetate is found in Camellia reticulata and Camellia semiserrata. 3-(Acetyloxy)-6-{[3,5-bis(acetyloxy)-2-[(6-{[5,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-4-oxo-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl)methoxy]-6-methyloxan-4-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-methyloxan-4-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
