Description3-Methyl-1-(2,4,6-trimethoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)butan-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as alkyl-phenylketones. These are aromatic compounds containing a ketone substituted by one alkyl group, and a phenyl group. 3-methyl-1-(2,4,6-trimethoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)butan-1-one is found in Eucalyptus apodophylla, Eucalyptus ceratocorys, Eucalyptus cuprea, Eucalyptus flocktoniae and Eucalyptus torquata. 3-Methyl-1-(2,4,6-trimethoxy-3,5-dimethylphenyl)butan-1-one is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
