Description5,7-Dihydroxy-2-[1-(4-methoxy-6-oxo-6h-pyran-2-yl)-2-phenylethylamino]-[1,4]naphthoquinone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as kavalactones. These are lactones, which is structurally characterized by a benzene ring and a pyranone moiety, linked to each other to form a 4-methoxy-6-(2-phenylethyl)-2H-pyran-2-one skeleton. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 5,7-dihydroxy-2-[1-(4-methoxy-6-oxo-6h-pyran-2-yl)-2-phenylethylamino]-[1,4]naphthoquinone.
