Cyclohexenones are compounds containing a cylohexenone moiety, which is a six-membered aliphatic ring that carries a ketone and has one endocyclic double bond. 2-{7-[3,4-dihydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)pyrrolidin-2-yl]heptyl}cyclohex-2-en-1-one is found in Broussonetia kazinoki and Broussonetia papyrifera. 2-{7-[3,4-Dihydroxy-5-(hydroxymethyl)pyrrolidin-2-yl]heptyl}cyclohex-2-en-1-one is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
