DescriptionSantolinylol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as tertiary alcohols. Tertiary alcohols are compounds in which a hydroxy group, -OH, is attached to a saturated carbon atom R3COH (R not H ). (3r,4s)-3-ethenyl-2,5-dimethylhex-5-ene-2,4-diol is found in Achillea filipendulina and Artemisia giraldii. (3r,4s)-3-ethenyl-2,5-dimethylhex-5-ene-2,4-diol was first documented in 2017 (PMID: 27187805). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Santolinylol.
