Dibenzofurans are compounds containing a dibenzofuran moiety, which consists of two benzene rings fused to a central furan ring. 5,6-dimethoxy-8-oxatricyclo[7.4.0.0²,⁷]trideca-1(9),2(7),3,5,10,12-hexaene-4,11-diol is found in Cormus domestica and Cotoneaster divaricatus. 2,7-Dihydroxy-3,4-dimethoxydibenzofuran is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
