These are organic compounds containing a sequence of between three and ten alpha-amino acids joined by peptide bonds. 1-[8,11-dihydroxy-10-(sec-butyl)-2-oxa-6,9,12-triazatricyclo[13.2.2.0³,⁷]nonadeca-1(17),8,11,13,15,18-hexaen-6-yl]-2-(dimethylamino)-3-methylpentan-1-one is found in Paliurus ramosissimus. 1-[10-(Butan-2-yl)-8,11-dihydroxy-2-oxa-6,9,12-triazatricyclo[13.2.2.0³,⁷]Nonadeca-1(17),8,11,13,15,18-hexaen-6-yl]-2-(dimethylamino)-3-methylpentan-1-one is a very strong basic compound (based on its pKa).
