These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to glucuronic acid at the C7-position. 6-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-4-oxochromen-7-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxane-2-carboxylic acid is found in Tanacetum parthenium. 6-{[2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,6-trihydroxy-4-oxo-4H-chromen-7-yl]oxy}-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxane-2-carboxylic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
