Description(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-2-[(2S)-2-[(2S,4aR,4bR,6R,8aR)-6-hydroxy-2,4b,8,8-tetramethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,4b,5,6,7,8,8a,9-dodecahydrophenanthren-2-yl]-2-hydroxyethoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diterpene glycosides. These are diterpenoids in which an isoprene unit is glycosylated. (2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-2-[(2s)-2-[(2s,4ar,4br,6r,8ar)-6-hydroxy-2,4b,8,8-tetramethyl-3,4,4a,5,6,7,8a,9-octahydro-1h-phenanthren-2-yl]-2-hydroxyethoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol is found in Palafoxia arida. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 36075691). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on (2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-2-[(2S)-2-[(2S,4aR,4bR,6R,8aR)-6-hydroxy-2,4b,8,8-tetramethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,4b,5,6,7,8,8a,9-dodecahydrophenanthren-2-yl]-2-hydroxyethoxy]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol (PMID: 36075690) (PMID: 36075689) (PMID: 36075688) (PMID: 36075687).
