Description | 9,10-Dihydro-10-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-pyrano[2,3-h]epicatechin-8-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as catechins. Catechins are compounds containing a catechin moiety, which is a 3,4-dihydro-2-chromene-3,5.7-Tiol. (4r,5r,14s)-4-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5,8-dihydroxy-14-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3,11-dioxatricyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁷]tetradeca-1(10),2(7),8-trien-12-one is found in Ocotea porosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 9,10-Dihydro-10-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-pyrano[2,3-h]epicatechin-8-one. |
