DescriptionRobustadial A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as bicyclic monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids containing exactly 2 rings, which are fused to each other. (2r,4s,5's)-5,7-dihydroxy-6',6'-dimethyl-4-(2-methylpropyl)-3,4-dihydrospiro[1-benzopyran-2,2'-bicyclo[3.1.1]heptane]-6,8-dicarbaldehyde is found in Eucalyptus robusta. (2r,4s,5's)-5,7-dihydroxy-6',6'-dimethyl-4-(2-methylpropyl)-3,4-dihydrospiro[1-benzopyran-2,2'-bicyclo[3.1.1]heptane]-6,8-dicarbaldehyde was first documented in 2008 (PMID: 17976995). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Robustadial A (PMID: 34314073).
