Description | (-)-Modhephene belongs to the class of organic compounds known as angular triquinanes. These are triquinane with a structure based on a [6.3.0.0^1,5] Undecane carbon skeleton. Thus, (-)-modhephene is considered to be an isoprenoid. (-)-modhephene is found in Porophyllum angustissimum and Synotis alata. (-)-modhephene was first documented in 2006 (PMID: 16749768). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (-)-modhephene. |
