| Description | Oxycurcumenol Epoxide belongs to the class of organic compounds known as guaianes. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based on the guaiane skeleton. Guaiane is a bicyclic compound consisting of a decahydroazulene moiety, substituted with two methyl groups and a 1-methylethyl group at the 1-, 4-, and 7-position, respectively. (3s,3as,5s,8as)-3a-hydroxy-3,3',3',8-tetramethyl-2,3,4,8a-tetrahydro-1h-spiro[azulene-5,2'-oxiran]-6-one is found in Curcuma heyneana and Curcuma phaeocaulis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Oxycurcumenol Epoxide. |
