Common Name2,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-[(2e)-3-methyl-6-[5-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)furan-3-yl]hex-2-en-1-yl]benzoic acid
DescriptionCristatic acid, also known as cristatate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives. Hydroxybenzoic acid derivatives are compounds containing a hydroxybenzoic acid (or a derivative), which is a benzene ring bearing a carboxyl and a hydroxyl groups. 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-[(2e)-3-methyl-6-[5-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)furan-3-yl]hex-2-en-1-yl]benzoic acid is found in Albatrellus cristatus. 2,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-3-[(2e)-3-methyl-6-[5-(2-methylprop-1-en-1-yl)furan-3-yl]hex-2-en-1-yl]benzoic acid was first documented in 2015 (PMID: 25689674). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Cristatic acid.
