Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1r,3r,5r,6r,7s,9s,10r,13s)-3,5-dimethoxy-6,9,10-trimethyl-4,14-dioxatetracyclo[7.5.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]tetradecane-6,7-diol is found in Senecio nemorensis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,3R,5R,6R,7S,9S,10R,13S)-3,5-dimethoxy-6,9,10-trimethyl-4,14-dioxatetracyclo[7.5.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]Tetradecane-6,7-diol. |
