These are terpene compounds formed by four isoprene units. 5-hydroxy-7-isopropyl-1,1,4a-trimethyl-6-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2h-phenanthren-3-yl 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoate is found in Plectranthus strigosus. 5-Hydroxy-1,1,4a-trimethyl-6-oxo-7-(propan-2-yl)-1,2,3,4,4a,6-hexahydrophenanthren-3-yl 4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
