| Common Name | (2r,3s,4r,5r)-2-{[(1s,4s,4ar,6s,8as)-6-[(2e,4e)-6-hydroxy-6-methylhepta-2,4-dien-2-yl]-4,4a-dimethyl-octahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxyoxan-3-yl acetate |
|---|
| Description | (-)-Fuscoside A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as eremophilane, 8,9-secoeremophilane and furoeremophilane sesquiterpenoids. These are sesquiterpenoids with a structure based either on the eremophilane skeleton, its 8,9-seco derivative, or the furoeremophilane skeleton. Eremophilanes have been shown to be derived from eudesmanes by migration of the methyl group at C-10 to C-5. (2r,3s,4r,5r)-2-{[(1s,4s,4ar,6s,8as)-6-[(2e,4e)-6-hydroxy-6-methylhepta-2,4-dien-2-yl]-4,4a-dimethyl-octahydro-1h-naphthalen-1-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxyoxan-3-yl acetate is found in Eunicea fusca. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (-)-Fuscoside A. |
