These are aromatic compounds containing Aromatic compounds containing a cinnamic acid moiety (or a derivative thereof) hydroxylated at the C2 (ortho-), C3 (meta-), or C4 (para-) carbon atom of the benzene ring. (2r,3r,4r,5r,6r)-5-hydroxy-6-[2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)ethoxy]-2-(hydroxymethyl)-4-{[(2r,3s,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-3-yl (2e)-3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Pedicularis plicata.
