| Description | (24R)-24-methyl-5alpha-cholest-7-ene-3beta,5alpha,6beta-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as ergosterols and derivatives. These are steroids containing ergosta-5,7,22-trien-3beta-ol or a derivative thereof, which is based on the 3beta-hydroxylated ergostane skeleton. (1r,3ar,5r,5ar,7s,9ar,9bs,11ar)-1-[(2r,5r)-5,6-dimethylheptan-2-yl]-9a,11a-dimethyl-1h,2h,3h,3ah,5h,6h,7h,8h,9h,9bh,10h,11h-cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene-5,5a,7-triol is found in Dysidea fragilis. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (24r)-24-methyl-5alpha-cholest-7-ene-3beta,5alpha,6beta-triol. |
