| Description | (3S)-3beta,4abeta,5beta-Trimethyl-4beta-(isobutyryloxy)-3abeta,9abeta:8Beta,8abeta-diepoxydodecahydronaphtho[2,3-b]furan-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. (1s,3s,5r,8s,9s,10s,11s,12s)-8,9,12-trimethyl-13-oxo-4,14,15-trioxapentacyclo[9.3.1.0¹,¹¹.0³,⁵.0³,⁹]pentadecan-10-yl 2-methylpropanoate is found in Ligularia cyathiceps. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3S)-3beta,4abeta,5beta-Trimethyl-4beta-(isobutyryloxy)-3abeta,9abeta:8Beta,8abeta-diepoxydodecahydronaphtho[2,3-b]furan-2-one. |
