Description(2E,4S)-3,7-dimethyl-1-{[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}octa-2,6-dien-4-yl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene glycosides. These are prenol lipids containing a carbohydrate moiety glycosidically bound to a terpene backbone. (2e,4s)-3,7-dimethyl-1-{[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}octa-2,6-dien-4-yl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate is found in Rhodiola rosea. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2E,4S)-3,7-dimethyl-1-{[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}octa-2,6-dien-4-yl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate.
