Description | (1S,3R,4R,7S,9S,10S,12R,13R)-4,9,13-trimethyl-12-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-6,14-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]Tetradecan-5-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as guaianolides and derivatives. These are diterpene lactones with a structure characterized by the presence of a gamma-lactone fused to a guaiane, forming 3,6,9-trimethyl-azuleno[4,5-b]furan-2-one or a derivative. (1s,3r,4r,7s,9s,10s,12r,13r)-4,9,13-trimethyl-12-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-6,14-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]tetradecan-5-one is found in Pentanema divaricatum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,3R,4R,7S,9S,10S,12R,13R)-4,9,13-trimethyl-12-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-6,14-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0¹,¹³.0³,⁷]Tetradecan-5-one. |
