These are carbohydrates made up of 3 to 10 monosaccharide units linked to each other through glycosidic bonds. (1r,3s,5s,6r,7s,8r,10r,12s,13r,14r)-7-{[(2r,3r,4s,5s,6s)-6-carboxy-3,4,5-trihydroxyoxan-2-yl]oxy}-6,13,14-trihydroxy-12-methyl-2,4,9,11-tetraoxatricyclo[8.4.0.0³,⁸]tetradecane-5-carboxylic acid is found in Althaea officinalis.
