| Description | 4,5-Dihydroxy-2-[7-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-oxo-2-(2-oxopropyl)-4H-chromen-8-yl]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as aporphines. These are quinoline alkaloids containing the dibenzo[de,g]quinoline ring system or a dehydrogenated derivative thereof. 4,5-dihydroxy-2-[7-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-oxo-2-(2-oxopropyl)chromen-8-yl]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Aloe arborescens and Aloe perfoliata. 4,5-Dihydroxy-2-[7-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-oxo-2-(2-oxopropyl)-4H-chromen-8-yl]-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-3-yl 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
