Description3-Hydroxy-3b,4,4,7a-tetramethyl-decahydro-1H-indeno[1,2-c]furan-8-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as coumaric acid esters. These are aromatic compounds containing an ester derivative of coumaric acid. 3-hydroxy-3b,4,4,7a-tetramethyl-octahydroindeno[1,2-c]furan-8-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is found in Thapsia villosa. 3-Hydroxy-3b,4,4,7a-tetramethyl-decahydro-1H-indeno[1,2-c]furan-8-yl 3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
