These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a xanthene moiety, which consists of two benzene rings joined to each other by a pyran ring. 1-(3,5-dihydroxy-2-{11-hydroxy-5,15-dimethyl-8-oxa-16-azatetracyclo[7.7.1.0²,⁷.0¹³,¹⁷]heptadeca-1(16),2(7),3,5,9(17),10,12,14-octaen-3-yl}phenyl)propan-2-one is found in Senna siamea.
