| Description | 2-(1-{[5-(1,2-Dihydroxyethyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-oxohexyl)-1,3,6,8-tetrahydroxy-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxyanthraquinones. Hydroxyanthraquinones are compounds containing a hydroxyanthraquinone moiety, which consists of an anthracene bearing a quinone, and hydroxyl group. 2-(1-{[5-(1,2-dihydroxyethyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-oxohexyl)-1,3,6,8-tetrahydroxyanthracene-9,10-dione is found in Staphylotrichum boninense. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-(1-{[5-(1,2-dihydroxyethyl)-3,4-dihydroxyoxolan-2-yl]oxy}-5-oxohexyl)-1,3,6,8-tetrahydroxy-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione. |
