Arylnaphthalene lignans occur in nature and exhibit diverse biological activities. 8-hydroxy-7-methyl-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-2h-naphtho[2,3-d][1,3]dioxole-6-carboxylic acid is found in Juniperus sabina. 8-Hydroxy-7-methyl-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)-2H-naphtho[2,3-d][1,3]dioxole-6-carboxylic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
