Description(3R)-3-butyl-7-(2,4-dihydroxy-6-pentylphenoxy)-3,5-dimethoxy-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as diarylethers. These are organic compounds containing the dialkyl ether functional group, with the formula ROR', where R and R' are aryl groups. (3r)-3-butyl-7-(2,4-dihydroxy-6-pentylphenoxy)-3,5-dimethoxy-2-benzofuran-1-one is found in Stereocaulon alpinum. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3R)-3-butyl-7-(2,4-dihydroxy-6-pentylphenoxy)-3,5-dimethoxy-1,3-dihydro-2-benzofuran-1-one.
