These are erythrina alkaloids possessing either a 6-5-6-6-membered indoloisoquinoline core or a derivative thereof. crystamidine is found in Erythrina americana, Erythrina brucei and Erythrina crista-galli. crystamidine was first documented in 2016 (PMID: 27145193). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Crystamidine (PMID: 34396757).
