| Description | Lincomycin A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as thioglycosides. These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a S-glycosidic bond. (2s,4r)-n-[(1r,2r)-2-hydroxy-1-[(2r,3r,4s,5r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(methylsulfanyl)oxan-2-yl]propyl]-1-methyl-4-propylpyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid is found in Streptomyces lincolnensis. (2s,4r)-n-[(1r,2r)-2-hydroxy-1-[(2r,3r,4s,5r)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(methylsulfanyl)oxan-2-yl]propyl]-1-methyl-4-propylpyrrolidine-2-carboximidic acid was first documented in 2018 (PMID: 29792672). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Lincomycin A (PMID: 31916478) (PMID: 32958639) (PMID: 30341075) (PMID: 29574602). |
