Common Name7-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)chromen-4-one
DescriptionLonicerin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thus, lonicerin is considered to be a flavonoid. 7-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)chromen-4-one is found in Citrus aurantium. 7-{[(2s,3r,4s,5s,6r)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-{[(2s,3r,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-5-hydroxy-2-(3-hydroxy-4-methoxyphenyl)chromen-4-one was first documented in 2020 (PMID: 32342594). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on Lonicerin (PMID: 34589402) (PMID: 32281329) (PMID: 32125461).
