| Description | (+)-Phytocassane D belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isocopalane and spongiane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the isocopalane (Tetradecahydro-1,1,4a,7,8,8a-hexamethylphenanthrene) or the 15,16-epoxyisocopalane skeleton. (2s,4ar,4br,8s,8ar,10as)-7-ethenyl-2-hydroxy-1,1,4a,8-tetramethyl-2,4,4b,8,8a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthrene-3,5-dione is found in Arabidopsis thaliana. (2s,4ar,4br,8s,8ar,10as)-7-ethenyl-2-hydroxy-1,1,4a,8-tetramethyl-2,4,4b,8,8a,9,10,10a-octahydrophenanthrene-3,5-dione was first documented in 2019 (PMID: 31094073). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (+)-phytocassane D. |
