These are sesquiterpene lactones with a structure based on the germacranolide skeleton, characterized by a gamma lactone fused to a 1,7-dimethylcyclodec-1-ene moiety. (1s,2s,6s,7r,8r,11r,12r,14s)-8-(acetyloxy)-11-hydroxy-9,14-dimethyl-5-methylidene-4-oxo-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]tetradec-9-en-7-yl (2s,3s)-2,3-dimethyloxirane-2-carboxylate is found in Heliopsis helianthoides. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,6S,7R,8R,11R,12R,14S)-8-(acetyloxy)-11-hydroxy-9,14-dimethyl-5-methylidene-4-oxo-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[8.4.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]Tetradec-9-en-7-yl (2S,3S)-2,3-dimethyloxirane-2-carboxylate. |
