| Description | Glaucolide B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as terpene lactones. These are prenol lipids containing a lactone ring. [8,10-bis(acetyloxy)-4,8-dimethyl-7,13-dioxo-3,14-dioxatricyclo[9.3.0.0²,⁴]tetradec-11-en-12-yl]methyl acetate is found in Chrysolaena platensis, Lepidaploa chalybaea, Lepidaploa tortuosa, Pseudelephantopus spicatus, Quechualia fulta and Stramentopappus pooleae. Glaucolide B is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
