Cardenolide glycosides and derivatives are compounds containing a carbohydrate glycosidically bound to the cardenolide moiety. (2s,3as,5ar,7s,9as,11ar)-7-{[(2r,5s)-3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-3a-hydroxy-9a,11a-dimethyl-1-(5-oxo-2h-furan-3-yl)-tetradecahydrocyclopenta[a]phenanthren-2-yl acetate is found in Mandevilla pentlandiana and Nerium oleander. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S,5S,7R,11S,13S,15R)-5-{[(2R,5S)-3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-11-hydroxy-2,15-dimethyl-14-(5-oxo-2,5-dihydrofuran-3-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecan-13-yl acetate.
