| Description | Lyclavatol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cyclic alcohols and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing an aliphatic ring substituted with at least one hydroxyl group. (2r,4as,5r,6s,8ar)-5-{2-[(1r,2s,4ar,6r,8as)-2,6-dihydroxy-5,5,8a-trimethyl-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]ethyl}-1,1,4a-trimethyl-octahydronaphthalene-2,6-diol is found in Dendrolycopodium obscurum and Ononis spinosa. (2r,4as,5r,6s,8ar)-5-{2-[(1r,2s,4ar,6r,8as)-2,6-dihydroxy-5,5,8a-trimethyl-octahydronaphthalen-1-yl]ethyl}-1,1,4a-trimethyl-octahydronaphthalene-2,6-diol was first documented in 2005 (PMID: 16320206). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Lyclavatol. |
