DescriptionOchrindole A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as phenylpyrroles. These are polycyclic aromatic compounds containing a benzene ring linked to a pyrrole ring through a CC or CN bond. 2,5-bis(1h-indol-3-yl)-3,6-dimethoxy-4-(3-methylbut-2-en-1-yl)phenol is found in Aspergillus ochraceus. Ochrindole A is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
