Description1-(4-Methoxy-1-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-3-yl)-3-methylbut-3-en-2-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroquinolones. Hydroquinolones are compounds containing a hydrogenated quinoline bearing a ketone group. 1-(4-methoxy-1-methyl-2-oxoquinolin-3-yl)-3-methylbut-3-en-2-yl acetate is found in Skimmia laureola. 1-(4-Methoxy-1-methyl-2-oxo-1,2-dihydroquinolin-3-yl)-3-methylbut-3-en-2-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
