| Description | 3,4A-dichloro-10a-(3,7-dimethyl-6-oxoocta-2,7-dien-1-yl)-6,8-dihydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H,3H,4H,4aH,5H,10H,10aH-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-5,10-dione belongs to the class of organic compounds known as vitamin k compounds. These are quinone lipids containing a methylated naphthoquinone ring structure, and vary in the aliphatic side chain attached at the 3-position. 3,4a-dichloro-10a-(3,7-dimethyl-6-oxoocta-2,7-dien-1-yl)-6,8-dihydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-3h,4h-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-5,10-dione is found in Streptomyces antimycoticus. 3,4A-dichloro-10a-(3,7-dimethyl-6-oxoocta-2,7-dien-1-yl)-6,8-dihydroxy-2,2-dimethyl-2H,3H,4H,4aH,5H,10H,10aH-naphtho[2,3-b]pyran-5,10-dione is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). |
