These are iridoid monoterpenes containing a glycosyl (usually a pyranosyl) moiety linked to the iridoid skeleton. (1r,4as,5r,7as)-5-hydroxy-7-({[(methylsulfanyl)carbonyl]oxy}methyl)-1-{[(2s,3s,4r,5r,6s)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1h,4ah,5h,7ah-cyclopenta[c]pyran-4-carboxylic acid is found in Paederia foetida and Paederia scandens. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,4aS,5R,7aS)-5-hydroxy-7-({[(methylsulfanyl)carbonyl]oxy}methyl)-1-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-1H,4aH,5H,7aH-cyclopenta[c]pyran-4-carboxylic acid. |
