Description1-(3-{[2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-8-yl]methyl}-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)butan-1-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as catechins. Catechins are compounds containing a catechin moiety, which is a 3,4-dihydro-2-chromene-3,5.7-Tiol. 1-(3-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2h-1-benzopyran-8-yl]methyl}-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)butan-1-one is found in Agrimonia pilosa. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 1-(3-{[2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,5,7-trihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-8-yl]methyl}-2,4-dihydroxy-6-methoxy-5-methylphenyl)butan-1-one.
