| Description | ASPERDIOL belongs to the class of organic compounds known as cembrane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based a cembrane skeleton, which is characterized by the presence of an isopropyl group at C-1 and by three symmetrically disposed methyl groups a the t C-4, -8 and -12 positions. (1r,4e,6s,7r,10z,14r)-4-(hydroxymethyl)-10,14-dimethyl-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-15-oxabicyclo[12.1.0]pentadeca-4,10-dien-6-ol is found in Eunicea knighti. (1r,4e,6s,7r,10z,14r)-4-(hydroxymethyl)-10,14-dimethyl-7-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-15-oxabicyclo[12.1.0]pentadeca-4,10-dien-6-ol was first documented in 2009 (PMID: 19778088). Based on a literature review a small amount of articles have been published on ASPERDIOL (PMID: 32214197) (PMID: 29863905). |
