| Description | Oleficin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as o-glycosyl compounds. These are glycoside in which a sugar group is bonded through one carbon to another group via a O-glycosidic bond. 3-[(2r)-4-[(2e,4e,6e,8z,10z,12e,14r,15s)-15-{[(2r,4r,5r,6r)-4,5-dihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-1-hydroxy-12,14,16-trimethylheptadeca-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaen-1-ylidene]-1-methyl-3,5-dioxopyrrolidin-2-yl]propanoic acid was first documented in 1982 (PMID: 6818995). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Oleficin. |
